18- Cornbelly's Thanksgiving Point

When Eli was a baby we initiated the family tradition of visiting a pumpkin patch in the fall. Every year our venue has expanded in size and scope. The first year was basically a roadside vegatable stand with a mini petting zoo. Last year we discovered Cornbelly's Corn Maze, which offers so many fun activities for kids-adding new features each year-we would have to visit a bona fide amusement park to top it. For us it also has the advntage of being much closer to home than some of the farms we've driven out to. Both Eli and Clara were very excited when we told them of our planed trip. Clara was counting down the days. "Is today pumpkin patch day?" This year there is a real Harvest Princess. It was not as much fun for Alex this time though; he had a sinus infection he was recovering from.

"Elias Witwiki" with a Transformer warrior (He cast aside the sword he'd brought so he could get his hands on that gun.)

Clara, ally of the autobots.

Our dad really rocks!

The Harvest Princess in her coach with two little Ladies.

Whee! I can slide all by myself.

Clara aspires to follow in her dad's rockclimbing shoes, but she never atempts a face without Mommy as her spotter.

Eli is ready to do one activity after another. He wants to do it all now. Why can't Mom and Dad keep up?

Lilly couldn't get enough sliding.

The royal Clara presides in her court of scarecrow princesses.

Two royal sisters.

Eli got some serious farming done in the wooden tractor.

A corn bin is even more fun than a sandbox.

He's trying out some "Indiana Jones" moves on the train.

Riding the tire swings.

Clerk Clara at the Country Store.

Lilly goes shopping.

Kids riddin' in the bed of the pick-up at the farm.

Race those duckies girls!

Mama shows the girls how to milk a cow. Clara actually got some milk out on her own.

Enlarge this shot to see the expression on Eli's face. He's eating candy.

Taking a break in the shade. Hoping Daddy will catch his second wind.

We can't get enough of the slides!

They're fun little critters.

  1. Yay, yay, yay, I love your blog! My life would absolutely not have been complete without seeing these beautiful pictures. They are perfectly candid but still so professional. The last one literally made me laugh out loud, I love Clara's face. Aim, you are beautiful and glowing in every shot. Your hair looks so healthy. The close-up of Eli is stunning, It is so "him" and I love the Indiana Jones shot. I can't believe what little ladies the girls are, except when there not, which is perfect! They are growing so much. I love the "sister twins". The commentary is also witty and excellent. I can’t wait to read more.
